This isn’t the only form of protest Yale attendees have taken in defense of Ford. In late September, Yale Law students held a sit-in to protest Kavanaugh’s alleged sexual misconduct. Several Yale teachers and administrators, including Yale Law School Dean Heather Gerken, also called for an FBI investigation into the allegations against the judge.
The graffiti may be the latest indicator of the residual feelings of anger and disappointment that many of the university’s students feel over Kavanaugh’s confirmation. “Something about the permanence of paint speaks to how deeply betrayed and disappointed people feel,” Raymond told HuffPost. “There’s still a lot of anger and disappointment in the halls of [Yale Law]. I think in particular, a lot of female students feel very fundamentally betrayed. But also very determined to change things for the better.”
