Best of Our Blogs: September 14, 2018

When things get hard, as they always do, I rely on words.

Words are my calming presence, my beacon of hope.

Its Elizabeth Gilbert’s words in Eat, Pray, Love:

“Ruin is a gift. Ruin is the road to transformation.”

And from psychologist Susan David on the Insights at the Edge podcast: “Discomfort is the price of admission to a meaningful life.”

It’s just like these words from Matilda:

“These books gave Matilda a hopeful and comforting message: You are not alone.”

What all these quotes have in common is a reminder that we all struggle. And overcoming obstacles is how we draw closer to our true selves.

Draw on the words of our bloggers. May their words help you feel less isolated, and just a little bit more hopeful this week.
